As part of a challenge to make a new illustration every day throughout the month of May 2020, I wanted to celebrate the greatest liveries and shapes in motor racing. The BMW 3.0 CSL is a superb car, a dramatic looker that really earned the nickname ‘Batmobile’ with its wild arches, and it was elevated to ’70s racing royalty with the UFO Jeans livery.
